A Word from TimBen
Occupation: Executive Director
I am a 44 year resident, a veteran and a former city Council member. I have been running a local non-profit for 22 years and have been married to Ingrid, a local school teacher, for 28 years. Our daughter is a public school student. We love Santa Clarita and want to keep it a great place to live, work and raise a family.
Many cities today are facing challenges with regard to their citizens' safety. From finding ways to stay healthy during the pandemic to the ability to exercise freedom of speech, Santa Clarita must remain a place where both residents and visitors are safe.
I will also work to solve the continuing challenges of increasing traffic, diminishing water supply, and homelessness.
When I served on the city council, I fought for increased public safety funding, more roads, lower housing density, and a new Senior Center. I led the fight against digital billboards in open space, high speed rail and red light cameras.
I supported building the new Sheriff’s station and the Canyon Country Community Center.
Referring to my Council service, The Signal newspaper reported “Boydston…became known as the one to represent the little guy…establishing himself as a man concerned about the welfare of his fellow residents, laboring to ensure the people’s voice is heard.”
I would be honored to have your vote.
